Thermofix Cable Ties

Thermoflx Cable ties, manufactured from nylon, meet most basic cable tie needs, with choices covering wide range of requirements for size and strength. Thermofix Cable ties One-piece, injection moulded construction provides maximum strength and adjustability for securing all sizes of bundles. Extra features such as rounded edges and bent-tip design make installation easy, fast, accurate and secure. Cable tie installation tools are not required but are suggested where controlled, uniform tension and cut-off applications are desired.

Split mandrel, loop tensile strength tests show that the most vulnerable stress point for a cable tie is its pawl. There is a trade-off between insertion/pull-up ease and strength of a cable tie. The stronger the pawl, the more force is required to insert and pull up the strap as it engages the pawl teeth. Cable ties are designed to optimise insertion ease and still meet or exceed all applicable strength requirements. This magnified cross-section illustrates our full four-tooth locking engagement between strap and pawl under load. This intimate contact between pawl and strap teeth, ensures that the strength of the pawl is fully utilised. Installations under conditions of full tropical sun and/or very low relative humidity, must be referred to THERMOFIX design engineers for evaluation and recommendations. Exterior applications should use black (U.V stabilised) ties.

Stick on Mounts

The SAM range of stick-on mounting bases are low profile and 4-way bases that stick onto virtually any surface.

Simply peel the back the paper and stick onto any clean, dry smooth, non-greasy surface. Standard and light duty ties insert and secure easily for all types of bundling needs. These stick on mounts are not recommended for outdoor use.

Termofix Stainless Steel Ties

Thermofix’s stainless steel cable ties are a quick, effective way of securing cables that are in a hostile environment. They have a unique ball bearing locking mechanism that allows the tie to be quickly and easily installed, but not undone. They install much quicker than traditional strapping systems. The heavy duty ties have an off-set tip to speed insertion to the tie. The ties are made from 316, non-magnetic stainless steels. Ties are packed in sturdy cardboard boxes. Typical uses are flame-proof installations, the chemical industry and long-term external exposure.

Thermofix Spiral Binding

Thermofix Spiral Binding is designed to wrap around bundles of wires to make neat looms and protect the conductors. Each Spiral Binding type accommodates a large range of diameters and allows break outs at any point. We offer two grades: natural for indoor use and black for UV resistant outdoor use. It is quick and easy to apply.

Spiral Bind is an excellent cable management system for both telecom and data cables, cable harnesses as well as colour coding for hydraulic and pneumatic hoses.

Nitto 21 PVC Electrical Insulation Tape

Highly flexible with dependable resistance against temperature changes, ranging from -80ºC.  When the tape is wound up over the electric cables, or similar objects, flagging never occurs.  Standard colours are Black, Red, White, Blue, Yellow and Green.
